This weekend the top 3 NASCAR racing series tours on to the Kentucky speedway for 4 days of racing action. Many of the teams are looking forward to Thursday when it will be the first time the NASCAR sprint cup series will hit the track as a test day. Also this weekend is the first time in a while that a track had a complete sale out for the inaugural running of the Quakerstate 400. This weekend many people’s favorite driver to win will probably be Joey Logano or Carl Edwards since them two has a lot of success when the NASCAR Nationwide series has been racing at Kentucky. Dale Earnhardt Jr. will also be one of the drivers to watch heading into this weekend at Kentucky He’ll be looking forward to break his winless streak. Another driver that a lot of people will be watching out on the race track in Kentucky this weekend will be Jeff Gordon. Some fans might think we could see a first time winner again this year this weekend at Kentucky. This weekend Michael Waltrip will return to the NASCAR Sprint Cup series in the number 15 Aarons Toyota Camry the paint scheme will be honoring his brother Darrell Waltrip for getting inducted into the NASCAR hall of fame in Charlotte North Carolina earlier this year. Some Kentucky track facts the 1.5 mile D-shaped oval was completed in 2000. it’s a 14° banked in the turns track 8° on front stretch 4° on backstretch. The track is located in Sparta, KY. My pick to win the Campingworld truck series race is Austin Dillion for the Nationwide series race is Carl Edwards and for the NASCAR Sprint cup series race is Joey Logano.
